Did I ever mention how much I love cheese? This baked ziti recipe is so cheesy, it’s a definite winner in my eyes. This recipe comes from my sister-in-law, Michelle, who is a mother, so once again it’s made with that mother’s love. When I tried it for the first time I was blown away, I thought this must be so difficult to make considering how delicious it tasted. I was wrong, it is actually quite simple and doesn’t take much time at all.

Ingredients:

  • Alfredo Sauce
  • 2 boxes of tube pasta
  • 2 packages of provolone cheese
  • 4 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups of shredded parmesan

Directions:

First you want to make your homemade alfredo sauce that I have previously blogged about. Simultaneously, boil the two boxes of tube pasta according to the box. You will also need to preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Once your noodles and alfredo sauce is cooked you are going to add them both to a bowl. Mix it up till all of the noodles are coated in alfredo sauce.

Next lay half of your coated noodles on the bottom of a 13×9 pan. Then you will spread 2 cups of the shredded mozzarella and 1 cup of shredded parmesan evenly over the first layer of noodles. Coat the first layer of noodles evenly with one package of provolone cheese. Then you will repeat those steps with the remaining ingredients. Again, lay last of your coated noodles, spread 2 cups of the shredded mozzarella and 1 cup of shredded parmesan evenly over the first layer of noodles. Coat the top evenly with the last package of provolone cheese.

Lastly bake it at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes or till the cheese is melted. If you want to brown the top you can cook it on broil for the last two minutes.

You also have the options of adding chicken, broccoli or spinach!
